PHMC Medical Respite on Cedar offers post-acute medical care for people experiencing homelessness who need medical care after a hospital stay. Located in the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar, this program and its PHMC counterpart Serenity Court are the only homeless medical respites in the City. The benefits of medical respite programs include better health outcomes for patients, lower re-admission rates for several months, and long-term cost savings for hospitals, insurance companies and communities.
