Mary Howard Health Center began in 1997 as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving individuals and communities. As with all of PHMC Health Network’s FQHCs, it provides patient-centered care to help people reach their health goals. Mary Howard has a bilingual staff, and interpretation services are available. Mary Howard Health Center is a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
Mary Howard Health Center has a pharmacy discount program available. Most insurance plans are accepted and there is a sliding fee scale for uninsured patients. All patients will be seen regardless of their ability to pay.
Broad Street Line (Broad/Ridge Spur) – Walnut-Locust stop. Walk five blocks east on Walnut Street to 9th Street, then one block north to Sansom Street.
Market Frankford Line – 8th Street stop. Walk one and a half blocks south on 8th Street to Sansom Street and one block west to 9th Street.

This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n). This health center also receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
